The Thai Garden Design team recently ventured North to the picturesque province of Roi et, where they were contracted to design and install a new rock waterfall pond for the homeowner, who wanted something dramatic and interesting to decorate their front driveway / entrance garden.
The team began work by excavating the proposed area, approximately 6.0 x 4.0m, with a 1.0m depth. A small island was left at the centre, at the request of the owner. The team laid a reinforced slab, bricked the outside walls and walls to the island, and planned and installed the necessary pipework.
The Thai Garden Design team are extremely experienced with building natural rock waterfalls, in tandem with tropical planting designs (see picture below). In total, this large pond took just over one week to construct, as the team started early and finished late everyday, to ensure a quick and hassle free installation.
The final waterfall design is a real head turner, creating a cooling and satisfying atmosphere with the sound of the waterfall. The homeowners entrance garden has now been transformed into a tropical oasis that is a real focal point for all who visit.
