The Landscaping Design and Installation team at Thai Garden Design recently completed this incredibly low maintenance garden for a couple based in Jomtien, near Pattaya. Not being their main residence, the couple were often not present at the house and the garden had become something of an eyesore.
The grass was unsightly, and the trees were haphazardly planted and unkempt. The couple wanted to thin out the large amount of foxtail palms along the back wall, as well as get rid of an old wooden sala, and empty pond, as well as remove all the real grass and replace it with low maintenance, attractive artificial grass (also known as astro turf / fake grass).
A landscape plan was created, agreed, and a budget was drawn up. The team then began the installation, which took place over around 2 weeks.
New planting and pebble beds fill the garden with colour and style. An attractive terrace design, at the far end, draws the eye when on the pool terrace, and the artificial grass remains looking good with little to no care for long periods.
The new garden has been a success in making the house far more attractive and inviting, and…. much easier to sell, if desirable at a later stage.
