Do you have an area at the end of your garden that you could use as a place to relax, or perhaps be an ideal spot to sit and work / read? The team at Thai Garden Design were contacted by a Bangkok resident who had an area at one end of their garden where previously, a sala had been built, but due to the sala being constructed with the wrong wood, the columns buckled and the roof caved in!
The owner wanted to reconstruct the sala (this time, with the correct wood!) and have a new sala roof fitted, made with the distinctive Thai style clay roof shingles.
The new sala is now an ideal place to sit outside in the garden, rain or shine…
If you have a garden in Thailand and could use a new design / new landscaping / new plants and trees etc, or you would just like some advice, email ben@thaigardendesign.com.
Love those! I enjoy following your posts on facebook and rss!
Those half-rounded shingles perfectly fit that Thai style gazebo. I mean, it really provides that tropical atmosphere for the surroundings. I think all it needs is a swimming pool to make it a complete recreational place. What do you think?
