Thai Garden Design were invited to view a job at a customers house in Ban Chang, Chonburi. A large retaining wall had been constructed and filled with earth at the back of the house, and the owner was scratching his head with what to do with the space. A redwood deck was to be constructed between two of the columns as a viewing platform for the rest of the back garden, approximately 11 sqm, but for planting for the rest of the garden, the customer needed some ideas.
A garden design was made and agreed, and the team got to work installing the new garden. Either side a collection of low maintenance plants and trees, including lipstick palms, dracaena loureiri, fuji fan palms and two sago palms, as well as some other hardy ground covers and pebble stones.
The deck was constructed on top of a reinforced foundation, and painted with a good quality stain to project it from the sun and rain.
