The Thai Garden Design landscaping team recently partnered with Jurassic Mountain Fishing Resort, Thailand, to design and build this tropical Waterfall concept at their new development in Cha Am. Jurassic Mountain were expanding their villa offerings, and therefore hired a local pool company (Platinum Pools) and Thai Garden Design to build the waterfall and surrounding garden.
The pool itself was large and curved, so the waterfall had to be big enough to look ‘at scale’. The final waterfall measures nearly 3.0m tall, and with nearly 5.0m width. It also obscures the pump room completely, which is accessible from the side, but otherwise completely invisible.
Thai Garden Design also developed the plant and tree list and assisted the owner with tree selection and installation, so that the final garden looks completely natural. Over time, these plants will develop and flourish to give an even more developed look to this new and exciting tropical garden.
Land was brought in and levelled beside the pool, along with grading sand, upon which a new Malaysia grass lawn was laid, and rolled. The plants were chosen for their low maintenance qualities. The Thai Garden Design team worked alongside the pool company at all times, to bring the overall project home in time for opening during high season and on budget.
The new waterfall and pool make for a vibrant tropical environment, helping prospective buyers to choose Jurassic Mountain Fishing Resort as a great place to invest.
