Thai Garden Design recently completed this large covered area and outdoor kitchen space at a new home in Cha Am, near Hua Hin.
The area in question was East side of the house, and spent long mornings in direct sunshine. The lady of the home wanted to spend more time outside with her dogs and the idea was a make an outdoor extended living space, with a small area to prepare meals and wash up etc.
The team designed and planned the area beforehand (above pic), and once approved, got to work.
A natural random cut stone paved floor was chosen, which was carefully laid and grouted. The two separate covered areas span the length of the house. A steel framework was selected over a hardwood one in this instance, and painted a dark oak colour to resemble a wood finish.
Full electrical installation also took place, with lights, fans and easily accessible switches. This new outdoor space has encouraged the owners to venture outside more, and enjoy their large garden.
