The results below of the latest waterfall and pond built by the Thai Garden Design team. A specific design, driven by the owner, who had very clear ideas on the look and sound he wanted from the final waterfall.
The area previously (above) was a straightforward pebble garden, with a concrete water feature which didn’t really fit into the picture.
The owner had visualized his perfect waterfall entrance garden, and after discussions and plan making, the team got to work. Firstly, a piled, reinforced foundation was installed by the team.
The final pond depth was to be 30 cm. The customer wasn’t interested in keeping fish, due to the maintenance, and so a tile was chosen (with fish patterning!) to be used on the floor of the pond. The adjacent wall was also bricked up, rendered, and tiled with a nice granite style design (picture below), which really works well with the new look waterfall garden.
Finally, rocks were sourced and chosen to the customers taste, and the multi-level waterfall was built, so that gentle flowing water is captured in numerous nooks and gaps within the design, creating a lovely look and sound to what is a great looking waterfall.
