Dracaena loureiri, known by Thai’s as ‘Jun-Par’ (จันผา) and commonly referred to as ‘Thai Dracaena’, is part of the large and varied dracaena genus family of plants, which in their numerous shapes and sizes, play a huge role in tropical gardens and resorts all over Thailand.
The trunk is usually the thickest part of the tree, which divides once mature into several sub-trunks, with impressive spikey green crowns. Their appearence means that the jun-par is a popular entrance or feature plant, which looks both great when naturally planted or potted within modern containers.
In the right conditions they can also do well indoors, although they generally prefer medium light levels.
