Layan Hills is a well known and exclusive development in Thalang District, Phuket, where the Thai Garden Design team were recently involved in the design and development of this beautiful tropical garden.

Although Thai Garden Design are primarily focused in the areas of Bangkok, Pattaya and Hua Hin, we do take on projects in all areas of Thailand.
In this case, the owners had just acquired a new home and were looking to improve their existing garden. The house was large and modern, and the garden area consisted of large front and back garden areas, and side walkways that were experiencing flooding during rainfall.
The Thai Garden Design team were contracted to fully redesign all garden areas, install lighting systems, and a fully automatic sprinkler system, plus any drainage requirements in order to improve flooding.
At the front and back areas, new trees were installed, to create lush tropical spaces, mixing low ground covers with mid range lady palms, lipstick palms and cloud tree varieties.
The side gardens were levelled and drainage systems were installed. A new tank for the sprinkler set up was placed on top of a reinforced concrete slab.
Extensive rock gardens and planting were then installed – these areas viewable from key areas inside the home.
A selection of natural stone pavers, modern concrete stones, retaining bricks and neutral tone pebble stones along with an amazing array of tropical plants make all areas around the house a vibrant symphony color and foliage.
The team located to Thalang for the duration of the project, just shy of three weeks completed, from start to finish. The owners were extremely happy with the final results.
