The Thai Garden Design team recently designed and installed this attractive BBQ deck for a family residing in Central Bangkok. The idea was to make a more welcoming space for their young child, who couldn't really enjoy the patchy grass garden. They decided to have the artificial grass installed across the whole garden, so the team removed the existing lawn, and installed a compacted sand and gravel base, grass on top.
Six large columns were installed across a 12 metre section of the wall, with yellow balau wood timber used to create a slated privacy screen, making the garden completely private from street view.
As seen from the picture above, holes were cut into the decking so the existing trees could remain. In total the deck measures around 35 sqm metres, making it the perfect place to host a gathering, light a BBQ or just sit, sun bathe and read a book.
This garden is now welcoming, child friendly, and low maintenance. By converting the garden, this family has unlocked an extra 130 sqm of living space, which they previously couldn't enjoy. Contact the Thai Garden Design team here, and get the garden landscape you deserve.
