The Thai Garden Design team recently designed and custom-built this Rock Wall Water Feature for a couple residing in the beach resort of Pranburi, Thailand.
The entrance to their Bali-style home was crying out for this type of feature. Already abound with tropical plant and trees, the couple had spotted an opportunity for a waterfall style wall, at the of the main entrance into the residence.
Garden Features to Improve your Home
The Thai Garden Design team created some drawings and proposals and planned to install a shallow concrete pond (40cm depth) and pump.
On top of this, natural stones and boulders would be cemented into position, to cover the L shaped wall to the left of the doorway.
A concealed submersible pump would push water to the top of the feature via PVC pipes. The water then spills over the top of the rocks at certain points (see video below).
The team used their expertise to construct an aesthetic wall, with tropical plants interspersed at various locations. Also, the ponds edges are also decorated with the same type of rock to create a flow and synergy of design.
The final Rock Wall Water Feature is a stunning success. A non-descript nook of the home is now a major part of the home, for all who enter and leave.
