The Thai Garden Design Team have a depth of knowledge when it comes to plants, their behaviours, likes and growth requirements. Certain plants thrive in shade, others need full sunlight to become strong. When designing gardens for indoor spaces, the team need to pick their plants carefully to ensure a successful garden installation.
This recent project took place in Bangkok, where a central area to the interior of the home was exposed above by a skylight (it was actually supposed to be an interior fish pond). The owners were reluctant to keep fish inside the house, and so opted to instead have a nice colourful indoor garden.
The design (shown above) was developed and tweaked in tune with the owners requests (the final installation actually replaces the central pot with a main feature tree (dracaena loureiri), but the rest of the design in terms of rocks, colourful pebbles and shade loving plants remained and made for a very nice, vibrant garden.
The homeowner and his family now have an interesting indoor garden in what was once a blank space, and which with some maintenance, will prove to be an ever-changing, growing and popular feature at the centre of their home. Contact Thai Garden Design to design your garden landscape in Thailand!
