Alternanthera ficoidea is a low range tropical perennial, a very handy decorative plant with many uses.. 'Joseph's Coat' can only grow to around 20cm in height, but comes in a variety of beatiful bright colours, green, yellow, pink and red, are are often used as reliable ground covers, and can be seen in many tropical landscapes and gardens all over Thailand.
They prefer well drained soil, and can do well in both full sun and in shade.
